Woohoo,
Today we went on the Ziplines. It was a total of 16 different lines that make your way over the rainforest. Two of the lines were 1 km long and 370 meters above the ground. Very exciting.
The first two pics are actually two views from the bed and breakfast we are staying at. They have this little open room that is tucked away where they give massages. I don't know how much the massages usually are, but this week they are running a full one hour relaxational massage for $20. I had one yesterday and booked another for today. Very decedant.
This next picture is of one of the streets in Copan Ruinas. The town is very hilly and all streets are lined with cobblestone. Makes for some treacherous walking, especially when it rains.
These two pics are of Robert and I on the ziplines. Really it was a blast. My technique was to go as fast as I could and then scamble at the end to try to stop myself, which you do by putting weight down on the lines with your hands. More often than now, the poor bloke had to stop me with his body!!
This last pic is of the drive back into town after Ziplining. This is a regular occurance.
The rest of these pics are samples of the flowers around Honduras. Mom, you were requesting these. Interestingly, they have a lot of the same flowers we do, except they grow all year round and therefore have a chance to get really big.
Take care,
Mandy
